News : GraphStore Announces eCADLite Beta Testing

28-July:

Birmingham, UK - GraphStore, the leading provider of graphical data management software, today announced that controlled beta testing of eCADLite, its latest 2D drafting product will commence in August. The full product launch of eCADLite is scheduled for September.

eCADLite is an easy to use fully functional 2D drafting package which is totally compatible with Bentley's MicroStation CAD software. eCADLite reads and writes MicroStation's DGN format files directly and is a powerful and cost-effective solution for MicroStation users who require additional or replacement 2D drafting seats.

Other key features of eCADLite will be:

  • Productive 2D drafting tools with a familiar MicroSoft Office style interface
  • Powerful symbol library management
  • Plotting, as simple as printing from Excel
  • Full Reference File Handling
  • Internet Rental Model

"Many packages are claimed to be compatible with MicroStation," said Ian Weatherhogg, Technical Director of GraphStore. "In reality, this usually means that they translate the data into their own format and then translate it back, with inevitable translation problems. eCADLite has huge advantages over these products - it does not translate data, it actually reads and writes it directly."

Anyone interested in participating in the eCADLite beta testing program should contact GraphStore at betatesters@graphstore.com
